Main objective of TAEKWON-DO POWER is social inclusion of ethnic minorities through sport.
The project will address the need to foster a common sense of belonging among Europeans, directing its efforts to the youngest. Since sport is a universal language understood by all, through the project it will contribute to preventing intolerance, social exclusion, including gender stereotyping, racism, xenophobia and marginalization.

Specific project objectives are:
-Increasing recognition skills of racism and intolerance through a special measurement of the sport tolerance culture of ethnic minority families, as well as children’ attitudes towards racism;
-Applying innovative methods for attracting young people to sports activities through using the values of sport and thus empower them participate actively in society-development of a fun TAEKWON-DO FOR EMPOWERMENT program and the use of an already elaborated Bonus Card Character System;
-Increasing children participation in sport activities and enhancing their social and communication skills for building safe and secure future.
Target group – young people with ethnic minority background age 7-11 deprived from parental care, living in migrant centres, of low social status etc.

Main results – developed fun TAEKWON-DO FOR EMPOWERMENT program for improving resilience and capacity of children and young people to cope with challenges in live. Taekwondo activities will support them build confidence in their own abilities and gain self-esteem and thus empower them overcome challenging situations they are encounter with own efforts. The awareness raising activities will be delivered through interactive learning sessions, panel discussions on themes such as social integration and racism, lectures and courses. They will lead to developing communication and life skills.

4 transnational meetings and one multiplier sport event with more than 100 children in total will crown project activities and celebrate results.
